Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 April 2026
Introduction
Welcome to WeDonate. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, mobile applications, and online services (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
WeDonate exists to recognise and thank verified blood and plasma donors by giving them access to exclusive discounts and offers. The Platform is not intended to incentivise new donations — it simply acknowledges those who already give.
We are not involved in blood collection and do not benefit financially from how often someone donates. Discounts are a thank-you to existing active donors for their ongoing commitment.
User Eligibility
- •You must be 18 years or older and resident in the United Kingdom
- •You must provide a Donor ID (number or card image) that passes our verification checks to access donor benefits
Account Registration & Verification
- •You need an account to use the Platform.
- •During signup you will be asked to verify your donor status by either:
- ◦Entering your Donor ID number, or
- ◦Uploading a photo of your donor card
- •If you upload a donor card image, you will see a separate checkbox asking for your explicit consent to the brief processing of any health data (e.g. blood group) that may be visible. Images are permanently deleted within seconds after verification — they are never stored or used for any other purpose.
- •You may opt in to marketing emails during registration. You can change this at any time.
- •You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
Acceptable Use
- •You agree to use the Platform lawfully and not to disrupt it or other users.
- •Attempting to access donor offers without holding a valid donor ID may result in account restriction or termination.
Third-Party Partnerships & Affiliates
- •We may share your name and email with trusted partners when you choose to use voucher stores, giveaways, or other benefits.
- •We participate in affiliate programmes and may earn commission when you shop via links on our Platform — this never increases the price you pay.
- •Third-party offers are subject to their own terms and availability.
Reward Points & Giveaways
- •Earning Points: Reward points are currently earned through:
- ◦Redeeming online offers from brands — points are only awarded when the brand successfully tracks your purchase through our affiliate link
- ◦Referring new donors — points are only awarded when the referred user verifies their donor status by uploading an image of their donor card
- ◦Weekly activity — logging into the Platform at least once per week
- •Using Points: Points can be redeemed for extra entries into giveaways and other benefits as offered on the Platform.
- •Point Values & Changes: We reserve the right to adjust, modify, or remove reward point values, earning rates, and redemption options at any time without prior notice. Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred or exchanged for money.
- •Point Removal: We may remove or adjust points from your account if we detect fraudulent activity, abuse of the system, or violation of these Terms.
- •Tracking Delays: Points earned through affiliate purchases may take up to one week (or longer) to appear in your account, as they depend on the brand's tracking systems confirming your purchase.
- •Giveaway Entries: Giveaways are subject to their own terms and conditions. Winners are selected randomly. We reserve the right to cancel or modify any giveaway at any time.
- •No Guarantee: Reward points and giveaways are offered at our discretion. We do not guarantee the continued availability of the reward points programme or any specific giveaway.
Intellectual Property
The Platform and all its content are owned by WeDonate Ltd and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy or create derivative works without our written permission.
Gift Cards
This section applies whenever you purchase a digital gift card (referred to on the Platform as a “savings card”) through the Platform. Gift cards are separate from, and additional to, any promotional codes or discounts you access as a verified donor.
What a gift card is
A gift card is a digital code issued by, or on behalf of, a third-party brand (the “Issuer”). When you buy a gift card through WeDonate:
- •You pay WeDonate a purchase price that is lower than the face value of the card (the difference is your donor discount).
- •WeDonate sources the card from the Issuer or an authorised distributor on your behalf.
- •Once the code has been issued to your account, it entitles you to redeem goods or services from the Issuer up to the face value, subject to the Issuer's own terms.
WeDonate is not the issuer of the gift card. We do not control the goods or services that the Issuer provides, and we are not responsible for the Issuer's acceptance, rejection, or handling of the redeemed code.
Eligibility
To purchase a gift card you must:
- •Be 18 years or older and resident in the United Kingdom.
- •Have a WeDonate account in good standing with a verified email address.
- •Complete any identity or donor checks that we reasonably require.
We may decline a purchase or cancel an order, before or after payment, if we suspect fraud, abuse, breach of these Terms, or any legal or compliance concern. If we decline after taking payment, we will refund the full purchase price.
Payment
- •Payment is taken in full, in pounds sterling, at the time you place the order.
- •We accept UK-issued debit cards and Pay by Bank. We do not accept credit cards or non-UK cards.
- •Payments are processed by Stripe through a secure form that Stripe embeds on our Platform. Your payment card details go directly from your browser to Stripe; WeDonate does not receive, see, or store your full card details.
- •You confirm that the payment method belongs to you and that you are authorised to use it.
Order limits
We may impose limits on the number of cards, total face value, or total spend per user, per brand, per day, or per any other period. These limits may change without notice and exist to protect the Platform from fraud and abuse.
How and when we supply a gift card to you
When you place an order, we immediately initiate fulfilment with the Issuer or their distributor. As soon as the Issuer returns a valid code, that code is issued to your WeDonate account and becomes available to you through the Platform. We refer to this point — when the code becomes available to you in your account — as “issuance”.
Issuance is the moment of supply. The code is considered supplied to you whether or not you have actually viewed it on the Platform. Revealing the code is simply the act of viewing what has already been supplied to you; it does not change when supply occurred.
Right to cancel (14-day cooling-off)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content.
By ticking the box at checkout labelled “I consent to the immediate supply of this digital code and acknowledge I will lose my 14-day cancellation right once the code is issued”, you:
- •Give your express consent to WeDonate beginning the supply of the digital content immediately, and
- •Acknowledge that you will lose your 14-day right to cancel as soon as the code is issued to your account.
Because issuance typically happens within seconds of payment, you should treat your 14-day right to cancel as extinguished as soon as you complete the purchase.
If for any reason issuance has not yet happened (for example, because fulfilment is delayed), you may contact us and we will cancel and refund the order where we are able to.
Refunds
We will refund you in full in the following situations:
- •You contact us before the code has been issued to your account and we are able to cancel the order.
- •We cancel the order ourselves because of a fulfilment failure, a pricing error, a fraud or compliance concern, or any other operational reason.
If you believe a code was defective when it was issued to your account (for example, it was already redeemed, expired, or technically invalid), please report it using the reporting tools on the Platform as soon as possible. We will investigate with the distributor who supplied the code and work with them to resolve the issue, which may include issuing a replacement card.
Outside these situations, issued gift cards are non-refundable. In particular, we cannot refund you because:
- •You changed your mind after the code was issued to your account.
- •You lost, deleted, shared, or had the code stolen after viewing it.
- •The Issuer has refused to accept the code, unless the refusal is because the code itself was defective at the point of issuance.
- •The Issuer has changed its products, prices, terms, or trading status after the code was issued.
Reporting a problem
If you have a problem with a gift card, use the reporting tools available on the Platform. These tools are designed to capture the information needed to investigate your issue and will direct your report to the right place. Please report any problem as soon as possible, and in any case within 30 days of the order date.
Keeping a revealed code safe
A gift card code behaves like cash. Anyone who knows the code can redeem the card, whether or not they are the person who bought it.
Once you have viewed (“revealed”) a code on the Platform, you are solely responsible for keeping it secure. That includes:
- •Not sharing the code with anyone you do not intend to give it to.
- •Not posting screenshots or photographs of the code anywhere, including private messages, social media, and cloud storage that may be accessible to others.
- •Keeping your WeDonate account secure with a strong, unique password.
- •Logging out of the Platform on shared or public devices.
We cannot replace or refund a code that has been redeemed by someone else after it was revealed to you. If you believe your WeDonate account has been accessed without your authorisation, contact us immediately so we can help you secure it.
Disputes about redemption
Any dispute about what the card can be used for, how it is redeemed, or how it is treated at the Issuer's point of sale or website is between you and the Issuer. WeDonate is not a party to your relationship with the Issuer and cannot compel the Issuer to accept a code or honour a promotion.
Where we can reasonably assist (for example, by confirming the order with the Issuer or passing a complaint on to them), we will do so.
Chargebacks
A chargeback is a dispute raised with your card issuer or bank. By purchasing a gift card you agree that you will not raise a chargeback for a reason that is covered by these Terms — for example, change of mind after issuance, loss of a revealed code, or dissatisfaction with how the Issuer handled a redemption attempt.
We may suspend or terminate your account and refuse further purchases if we reasonably believe that you have raised an unfounded chargeback. We reserve the right to provide evidence of the transaction to your card issuer in response to a chargeback, including the consent you gave at checkout, the issuance timestamp, any reveal timestamp, and technical information about the device and network used to place the order.
Fulfilment failures
Gift cards are sourced from third-party distributors. If a distributor is temporarily unable to fulfil an order, we will:
- •Hold the order in a pending state while we attempt fulfilment, and/or
- •Cancel the order and issue a full refund where fulfilment is not possible within a reasonable time.
Brand terms and conditions
Each gift card is redeemed under the Issuer's own terms and conditions. Where those terms are shown at checkout, you must read and agree to them before completing the purchase. Those terms may include restrictions on use, expiry dates, and regional limitations that WeDonate does not control.
Our liability for gift cards
Nothing in this section excludes or limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for breach of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
Subject to that, and in addition to the general Limitation of Liability section above, our total liability to you in connection with any single gift card order is limited to the purchase price you paid for that order.
Changes to this section
We may update this section from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the version that was live when you placed the order.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for breach of your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under UK law.
Subject to that:
- •We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
- •Our total liability to you for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms is limited to the amounts you have paid us in the past 12 months (if any).
- •We are not responsible for third-party discounts that expire or stop working — always check with the retailer.
For gift card purchases specifically, see also “Our liability for gift cards” above.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms or for any other legitimate reason.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
